KUCHING, Sept 27: Essential services workers and drivers are required to undergo Covid-19 screenings either using the Antigen Rapid Test Kit (RTK-Antigen) or ‘Saliva Test’ every seven days for inter-district travel.

Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a statement today said the decision is effective tomorrow (September 28).

The committee stressed that police permit is still required for inter-district travel on top of producing a negative Covid-19 swab test result.

To recap, SDMC had on September 13 decided that the Covid-19 swab test results of Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) and RTK Antigen for inter-district movement were no longer required.

It said the decision then was effective September 14. — DayakDaily
