KUCHING, Jan 15: Customers who have visited The Mandarin Restaurant at Kuching ICOM Square are encouraged to get their Covid-19 swab tests for their own safety.

This was the advice by the restaurant management after two of its staff were tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday (Jan 14).

“Reference to our earlier statement, all our staff had undergone a swab test on Jan 12 and were imposed to stay home until results were out.

“Today on Jan 14, we were informed by the Medical Department that two of our staff were tested positive for Covid-19,” it said in its official statement on Instagram yesterday.

Following that, the restaurant was closed for professional disinfection and sanitisation works at the entire premise, until further notice.

The management said it is also working closely with the Ministry of Health (MOH) to ensure all the proper procedures and guidelines are strictly adhered to at this time.

“Please be assured that we will continue to maintain strict compliance of the guidelines and SOPs (standard operating procedures) of MOH, which includes the provision of sanitising liquid, temperature taking and contact tracing of our customers and staff.

“We will continue to update and be transparent with our dealings and encourage the public to do so as well, as we work together to get through this virus,” it assured the public.—DayakDaily
