SIBU, April 21: A human skeleton was found by a man while urinating in a bush near Jalan Kristal in Sibujaya, this morning.
Sibu District Police Chief ACP Zulkipli Suhaili said the Sibujaya police station received a report from a 39-year old man, saying that he had stumbled upon the skeletal remains of a human being.
“The Criminal Investigation Division and Sibujaya Police Station went to the location and found the skeletal remains,” he added.
The identity of the deceased has yet to be determined.
“An investigation of the location turned up a pair jeans, though no shirt was found, and the remains were lying face down,” he said.
He revealed that the deceased is believed to have been dead for over a month based on the condition of the remains.
The remains have been placed at the Sibu Hospital Mortuary.
“The case is classified as sudden death,” he added.
