KUCHING, Nov 29: A man was sentenced to three months in prison by the Magistrate’s Court here for stealing a gas cylinder belonging to his mother.
The sentence was handed down by Magistrate Mohd Syukri Mokhtar after the accused, Dixon David David Alam, 29, pleaded guilty to the charge.
He was charged under Section 380 of the Penal Code for theft.
According to the facts of the case, the accused had stolen the gas cylinder from home and sold it to a shop near their house in Taman Malihah at about 1.30pm on Sept 27, 2019.
Prosecuting officer Merylene Lindan Andrew Mang prosecuted while the accused was unrepresented.— DayakDaily
