Man stabbed in ‘sudden’ attack

MIRI, July 20: A man suffered injuries after being suddenly attacked by a woman with a 20cm long knife at a shopping mall at Jalan Pujut here at around 11pm on Friday.

The victim, in his 30s, had lodged a police report the same night.


Acting on the report, police has arrested the woman, who is in her early 30s, in connection with the incident this morning.

Police have also seized the alleged weapon.

According to sources, the woman was said to have approached the victim but she got angry at him suddenly for no apparent reason before stabbing him on the back.

The suspect has been taken to Miri Central Police Station for questioning.

The case was being investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt. — DayakDaily
