KUCHING, Nov 8: The Sessions Court here sentenced a jobless man to six years’ imprisonment and one stroke of the cane for forcing his 9-year-old stepdaughter to touch his genitals.
The accused was found guilty under Section 14(b) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017 after a full trial.
Sessions Court Judge Jason Juga also ordered the accused to undergo rehabilitation counseling during his detention under Section 26 of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act and be subject to police supervision for one year after his release from prison.
The accused was charged with forcing his 9-year-old stepdaughter to touch his genitals at their house in Taman Desa Wira on February 22, 2020.
