KUCHING, June 11: The Sessions Court here sentenced an unemployed man to five years’ imprisonment for asking his 10-year-old daughter to perform oral sex on him.
The 41-year-old father pleaded guilty to the charge framed at Sessions Court here today.
Sessions Court Judge Jason Juga convicted him as charged and sentenced him to imprisonment of five years, with effect from the date of arrest.
The accused sexually assaulted his 10-year-old daughter by exposing his private parts to his daughter at their house at about 9pm on March 10, 2020.
According to the facts of the case, the child’s mother who lodged the police report said that her husband was drunk at the time and pulled off his underwear and asked the victim “mauk hisap peler”. The victim was scared, cried and ran away.
According to the complainant, this is not the first time the accused has done such a thing to the daughter.
He was charged under Section 15(a)(i) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017 and punishable under Section 15 at the same act, which carries imprisonment not exceeding 10 years or to a fine not exceeding RM20,000 or with both, upon conviction.—DayakDaily
