Man missing from Kpg Long Lutok found after four-day search

KUCHING, July 7: A 53-year-old man was found safe on Tuesday morning after he was reported missing at Kpg Long Lutok, Lawas.

The victim’s son had reported the case to the police after his father left the house on Saturday to look for rattan in the jungle together with his uncle but did not return home.

The villagers immediately started their search on Saturday but the victim had yet to be located. They continued their search on Sunday and Monday and only the victim’s clothes were found near a river in the jungle.

After failing to locate the victim for a few days, the victim’s family member reported the case to the police. Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) were contacted by the police and a team was deployed to the seen immediately.

According to the statement from State Bomba Operation Centre, the victim was found safe at 9am at Ulu Sungai Long Lutok, approximately 3 kilometres away from Kpg Long Lutok.

Bomba took approximately one hour to carry the victim back to his house.—DayakDaily
