KUCHING, April 5: A man who had lost his way in a jungle near Kpg Sion Tapah was found by a Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) search team thanks to smartphone application WhatsApp this afternoon.
Bomba received the emergency call about a missing man around 12 noon.
According to the Bomba report, the missing person managed to share his location by using the smartphone application and Bomba personnel managed to use the information to track the man’s location and were able to find the missing man in a short time.
The rescued man was later brought out from the jungle and sent to Serian Hospital for a check-up. — DayakDaily
