MIRI, July 25: A man ended up losing his motorcycle while waiting for a potential buyer for his motorcycle helmet on Monday night.

The alleged incident took place around 9pm at an industrial area along the Miri by-pass road.

According to the sources, the victim had gone to the area for a meet-up with the potential buyer who agreed to purchase his motorcycle helmet via Facebook.

He arrived early at the location for the appointment. While waiting for his potential buyer to show up, the victim was relieving himself at a section of the area when two strangers brandishing machetes suddenly appeared.

Fearing for his safety, the victim attempted to flee from the scene on his motorcycle but was blocked by another two men armed with sticks and machetes.
