SIBU, Aug 5: A tractor driver lost his life after the car he was driving collided with a second car at Jalan Salim today.
Sibu district police chief, ACP Stanley Jonathan Ringgit said the 54-year-old deceased was travelling away from the town when his car collided head-on with a car coming from the opposite direction which was driven by a female administrator of an education institution.
The accident happened near the Sibu Water Board water treatment plant and office.
“As a result of the impact of the collision, the woman’s car crashed into the roadside drain,” Stanley said.
He added that the tractor driver died on the spot while the woman sustained a minor injury.
She has been warded at a private medical centre for medical treatment. — DayakDaily
