Man injured in collision with 4WD

MIRI, Jan 5: A 30-year-old man suffered injuries after he was involved in a collision with a four-wheel drive (4WD) at a traffic light intersection at Tudan yesterday evening.

According to Sarawak Traffic Investigation and Enforcement chief, Supt Alexson Naga Chabu, initial investigations revealed that the two-vehicle collision happened after the victim, in a pickup truck (lorry), ran the red light.


In the 9pm incident, he said that the pickup truck was coming from Senadin to Tudan, while the 4WD from the Miri Bypass road.

“The injured pickup truck driver was rushed to Miri hospital for medical treatment, while the 4WD driver was unharmed,” he added.

The incident is being investigated under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. — DayakDaily
