MIRI, April 24: A 41-year-old man was found unconscious inside his car on Tuesday night.
The car was discovered in a parking lot at Miri Hospital here by one of his children at 10.25pm.
According to Miri Police chief ACP Lim Meng Seah, the man’s offspring had knocked on the car door multiple times but there was no response.
A mobile police vehicle rushed to the scene after being alerted to the discovery.
Lim added, personnel conducted a thorough check at the location and found the man unconscious in the car, before breaking the vehicle door open.
The man was later pronounced dead at Miri Hospital and the remains taken to Miri Hospital morgue for a post-mortem.
Police also discoverd a hose attached to the car’s exhaust pipe leading into the vehicle.
Lim added, the case has been classified as sudden death. — DayakDaily
