KUCHING, July 6: A 55-year-old man was found drowned while he was on a fishing trip at Pulau Lakei here.
According to a report from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), a call was received at 12.27pm today, and firefighters from the Tabuan Jaya station were deployed.
At around 4pm on July 4, the victim, Mohd Raduan Jemat, went fishing with his two friends on a private boat.
Later on, at around 11pm on July 5, the three men went to sleep, and at 3.40am today, they realised that the victim was not with them on the boat.
They attempted to locate the victim but were unable to do so before going to the station to lodge a police report.
Upon arrival, it was noted that the victim was found by Maritime personnel at 12.20pm, and his remains were handed over to the police for further action. — DayakDaily
