MIRI, Sept 14: The lifeless body of a 43-year-old woman was found lying on the floor of her living room in Bekenu yesterday (Sept 13).
Miri police chief ACP Lim Meng Seah said her 47-year-old husband had stumbled upon the body at about 5.50pm.
“An insecticide bottle (Victor 300) was found next to the deceased’s body,” said Lim in a press statement today.
Police have ruled out foul play, Lim added.
“Early investigation found no criminal elements at the woman’s house. The case has been classified as sudden death,” said Lim.
Lim related that when the deceased husband saw her lying on the floor, he immediately rushed her to Bekenu Clinic, but the medical personnel there confirmed she had already died.
A police report was immediately lodged.
The remains have been taken to Miri Hospital for a post mortem. — DayakDaily
