Man fainting at bank in viral video is due to other illnesses, not Covid-19

KUCHING, Mar 31: The viral video of a man being carried out into an ambulance outside a bank located at Song Thian Cheok Road fainted due to other illnesses, not Covid-19.

The incident happened on Tuesday morning when the victim started to feel unwell while he was in the bank.

The video recorded by a member of the public near the bank had gone viral on social media and messaging applications, spreading information on the man claiming that he was suffering from Covid-19, causing panic among the public and also the people in the bank.

The medical officer who had reached the scene together with the ambulance had checked and confirmed that the man’s malady was from other illnesses, not Covid-19, which will be examined further at the hospital.

The public was urged not to spread unconfirmed information on social media as it will cause unnecessary panic among the community. ā€”DayakDaily
