MIRI, July 31: A 39-year-old man died in a road accident that occurred along Jalan Bintulu-Miri , near Rh. Robert Suai at 3.30pm yesterday.
State Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu said Mohd Amin Amirul Itang Abdullah from Kg Madinah, Niah was driving from Bintulu towards Niah bazaar.
“Based on initial investigations, Mohd Amin lost control of his vehicle before swerving to the opposite lane and crashed into a lorry.
“The victim was pronounced dead on the spot by medical officers from Niah clinic while the lorry driver was unhurt,” Alexson said in a statement.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) Land Transport Act 1987. -DayakDaily
