MIRI, Aug 17: An elderly man died after he fell down from the stairs of a hotel here last night.
According to sources, the deceased, identified as Cheng Kuok Ping, 68, tripped while walking down the staircase after attending a dinner function.

His motionless body was discovered at the bottom of the staircase around 9.30pm by the hotel’s security, which immediately alerted Miri Hospital and the police.
Cheng, however, was pronounced dead at the scene, and his body taken to Miri Hospital’s morgue. — DayakDaily
