MIRI, August 13: A 28-year-old man was killed this morning after his BMW car slammed into a road divider along the Pujut-Miri road.
The incident occurred at 3.50am near the old Miri Public Works Department depot, after the car swerved suddenly and crashed into the divider.
According to the State Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu, the man, identified as Chong Yong Loi, died while receiving treatment at Miri Hospital.
He added, the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transoort Act 1987.
“The deceased was travelling alone when the crash happened,” said Alexson. — DayakDaily
