MIRI, Sept 8: A 27-year-old peeping tom was apprehended by several staff of a homestay in the city centre on Thursday afternoon (Sept 6).
The man was spotted by a 20-year-old female student around 9.30am, hiding inside a bathroom.
Prior to the arrest, the woman was inside a bathroom stall next to the stall where the peeping tom was hiding.
After she realised she being watched by ‘somebody’, the victim felt terrified and immediately began shouting.
Her screams alerted the premises’ staff who rushed to her rescue.
They managed to apprehend the suspect, who was also one of the homestay’s residents.
He was later handed over to the police for questioning. — DayakDaily
