KUCHING, June 12: An individual this morning uploaded a video confessing that he was the person in a video showing homosexual acts which claimed to involve a federal minister that went viral yesterday.

In the 34-second video clip posted on a Facebook account at 2.32am, under the name of Haziq Aziz, he said: “I am Haziq Aziz, I hereby confess that I am the individual with (the name of alleged politician) in the video which has been viraled last night (June 11).

“The video was recorded without my permission on May 11 during the Sandakan by-election in (the alleged politician)’s room at Four Points Hotel,” he added.

“I urged SPRM (Malaysia Anti Corruption Commission) to investigate (the alleged politician) on corruption claims. He is not an individual qualified to be a leader,” he concluded.

The individual in the confession video is alleged to be the branch youth chief of a political party in Santubong constituency and also the private secretary of a federal deputy minister.

DayakDaily is attempting to reach out to various parties to verify the authenticity of the video and Facebook account.

According to various national news sites, pictures and videos showing two men, with one resembling a federal minister, getting intimate with each other was shared through WhatsApp chat groups and other social media platforms earlier yesterday morning.

When a reporter posed the question to Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad during the press conference after the Economic Action Council (EAC) meeting yesterday, the latter said he was clueless of such a video clip circulating on social media.

“I don’t know anything, I just heard about this. I need to find out first,” he said. — DayakDaily
