SIBU: A 31-year-old man who is accused of murdering two women was brought to the High Court today for the mention of his case.
Deputy public prosecutor, Dona Liyanna Sabariah told the court that the prosecution would call the respective husbands of the two women to be witnesses during the trial.
The court will re-read the charge during the next mention of the case on March 4.
The Sarikei Magistrate’s Court had on Feb 25 charged the accused, Ahmad Robin under Section 302 of the Penal Code with the murder of the two Indonesian women, identified as Pandang Sarang and Muli Laha.
According to reports, the accused is believed to have attacked three Indonesian women aged between 41 to 47 on February 12 at different locations in Daro.
The bodies of Pandang and Muli was found floating in Sungai Samong between February 12 to 14 while the third woman managed to survive
The accused was detained at about 3.30pm on February 12 at the roadside of Jalan Sentral, Daro. — DayakDaily
