CM receives 4 courtesy calls, including from PBS led by Ongkili

KUCHING, Feb 14: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg received a courtesy call by a delegation from Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) at his office in Wisma Bapa Malaysia this morning.

According to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), the closed-door meeting lasted for about 30 minutes.

The PBS delegation was led by party president Datuk Seri Panglima Dr Maximus Johnity Ongkili.

Accompanying Abang Johari at the meeting were Deputy Chief Ministers Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas and Tan Sri Dr James Jemut Masing.

Later in the afternoon, a delegation from Kuching, Samarahan and Serian Associations of SJKC also paid a courtesy call on Abang Johari.

The delegation, led by its president Jonathan Chai, met with the Chief Minister for half-an-hour and had a frank discussion on issues and development of Chinese education in the state and presented a few requests to Abang Johari.

Also present was Minister for Local Government and Housing Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian.

Later, delegations from Sibu Rural District Council and Single Mothers Association also paid courtesy calls on Abang Johari. — DayakDaily
