BELAGA, Dec 3: A 30-year-old man was arrested after suspicious substances believed to be Methamphetamine were found in the suspect’s possession.
The arrest was made when a team of police from the Belaga Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department conducted a raid on a man at an unregistered hut located along Jalan Sg Asap, Belaga on Monday afternoon.
According to the police, they found a transparent tube containing 0.03 grammes of a crystalline substance believed to be Methamphetamine inside the man’s pocket.
Police also found six transparent packs of the same crystalline substance found inside a cigarette box in the hut. The substances totalling 32.6 grammes were also believed to be Methamphetamine.
The suspect later tested positive for drugs and will be remanded for further investigation. —DayakDaily
