KUCHING, April 26: A 32-year-old man was fined RM1,000 for violating the Movement Control Order (MCO) at Jalan Dahan Estates, Bau this morning.
The incident happened at 11pm when police personnel on ‘snap check’ duty stopped a car travelling on the road.
According to the police report, the driver had failed to provide a reasonable reason for his outing and also failed to present a movement permit during the police check.
The man was later arrested and will be investigated under the Prevention And Control Of Infectious Diseases Act 2020 and also Section 186 of the Penal Code. — DayakDaily
