MIRI, May 15: A man sustained injuries to his body after he was allegedly assaulted by several individuals last Sunday.
The alleged incident reportedly occurred at a commercial centre along Miri Waterfront here just minutes after midnight.
A police report on the alleged attack has been lodged at Miri central police station (CPS).
According to sources, the victim in his 20’s knew his assailants and one of them is purportedly his girlfriend’s brother.
The motive for the alleged assault was not immediately known but sources added that the victim had allegedly beaten his girlfriend and thus angered her brother.
No arrests have been made yet as police are still investigating the incident. — DayakDaily
