Maksak Sarawak disburses Gawai-Raya aid to civil servants

KUCHING, May 15: Malaysian Government Servants Welfare and Sports Council (Maksak) Sarawak presented RM100 cash aid each to 130 state civil service personnel in conjunction with the forthcoming Gawai-Raya celebration.

Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg and wife, Datin Patinggi Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang, presented the aid on behalf of Maksak during a breaking of fast event at the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) complex yesterday.

The event was hosted by State Secretary Tan Sri Mohd Morshidi Abdul Ghani, who is also Maksak Sarawak chairman.

Deputy Chief Ministers Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas and Tan Sri Dr James Jemut Masing, DUN Speaker Datuk Amar Mohd Asfia Awang Nasar, various assistant ministers, deputy state secretaries and department heads of both the federal and state government agencies were present.

After the presentation, Abang Johari and other guests performed the ‘solat sunat tarawih’ at the complex. — DayakDaily
