BINTULU, Aug 4: A man’s alleged attempt to set himself on fire was thwarted today.
According to a report by Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), they received a phone call on the incident around 3.47pm.

They then deployed a team of firefighters from Bintulu Fire Station to the scene located at Jalan Pasar Lama, Bintulu.
Upon arrival, the Bomba team found that there was no more visible smoke as reported earlier.
The team conducted a size-up at the location and discovered the man reported.
