Man alleged to have assaulted wife for RM200

MIRI, July 8: A hot-headed husband has been alleged to beat up his wife after her refusal to give RM200 cash.

The incident occurred at 4 am on Sunday at in a quarter room at Kuala Baram here.


The victim which is in her thirties sustained body injuries and has since been treated in the Miri Hospital.

According to sources, the victim refused her husband’s demand for the cash as she was saving it for her own medical bills.

Sources added that the husband who is in his late thirties, is a mechanic.

He has been alleged to have beaten the victim with a broomstick repeatedly and punched her in the face.

The husband then left the victim who managed to get help by reaching to her handphone.

As of press time, no arrest has been made as the police is still investigating. — DayakDaily
