SIBU, Jan 7: A highly decomposed body of a 20-year-old man was found in a hut in Tanjung Panasu, Batang Igan yesterday.
The deceased was identified as Mohd Asrul Kalana.
According to Sibu district police chief ACP Stanley Jonathan Ringgit, villagers in the area found his body early this morning.
He said based on the condition of the body, the deceased had been dead for 72 hours already.
Stanley said initial investigations showed that the body had no injury, which indicated that there was no element of crime involved.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death. —DayakDaily
