Mambong rep’s service centre to assist Siburan shop fire victim

SERIAN, March 7: Chong Vui Miau, whose shop was destroyed by fire will receive assistance from Mambong assemblyman Dr Jerip Susil’s service centre.

Chong’s shop, which sells footwear in Siburan town was completely devastated in a fire which occurred around 3:25pm yesterday.


There were no casualties in the incident.

Dr Jerip who visited Chong at his shop this afternoon promised to offer assistance to the victim.

Accompanying Dr Jerip were his wife Datin Lee Chai Foong and members of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Mambong.

“The purpose of my visit today is to give them support and to assess in terms of the loses…definitely my service centre will give him (the victim) something,” Dr Jerip, who is also Deputy Minister of Transport (Aviation and Roads) said.

He pointed out that Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) will also investigate the cause of the fire and the total loses, which will take about two weeks to complete.
