KUCHING, March 7: Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap has presented SMK Datuk Patinggi Haji Abdul (DPHA) Gapor’s Parent Teachers Association (PIBG) with a digital Smartface Terminal to facilitate taking the attendance record of teachers and staff.

According to a press statement, the terminal was handed over by Yap during a simple ceremony held at the school today.

The Smartface Terminal is deemed necessary as it will assist the school management in effectively monitoring and supervising teachers’ and staff members’ attendance in a more systematic manner.

During the ceremony, Yap also presented 10 steel shelf racks required by the examination unit of the school to enhance organization and efficiency during examinations for the entire school.

In addition, Yap reiterated his commitment to assisting all schools in his Kota Sentosa constituency systematically based on urgency and priority.

He emphasised the importance of ensuring that schools’ equipment and facilities are at satisfactory levels, as they are crucial in empowering students to be well-prepared for the challenges and opportunities of the future under the Sarawak Government’s Post-Covid Development Strategy 2030. — DayakDaily
