Malaysia’s para bowling team returns triumphant with 4 gold at world championships

KUCHING, Jan 25: Malaysia’s para keglers team will return home victorious with four gold medals in hand from the 2025 International Bowling Federation (IBF) Para Bowling World Championships.

According to a news report by the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), the Malaysian team ended its campaign at the 2025 IBF Para Bowling World Championships in Hong Kong yesterday with four gold, five silver, and one bronze medals.

On the last day of the world meet, Marcos Chang Hao Hong secured Malaysia’s final gold medal in the TPB9 Men All Events while Nur Amalina Mosadad won the silver medal in the TPB10 Women All Events category.

Overall, Abg Yahya Abg Azhar and Chang collectively brought home four gold medals from the TPB4 Men Singles, TPB4 Men All Event, TPB9 Men Singles, and TPB9 Men All Event.

Silver medals were won through the TPB4 Men Team of 4 category (Abg Yahya Abg Azhar, Muhd Zul Adly Majeni, Muhammad Hazim Sazali & Mahamad Rizuan Madzhi), TPB10 Women Singles (Nur Amalina Mohd Mosadad), TPB 4 Men Doubles (Abg Yahya Abg Azhar & Mahamad Rizuan Madzhi), TPB 4 Women Doubles (Nur Syazwani Marais & Azeera Jalani) and TPB10 Women All Event (Nur Amalina Mohd Mosadad).

And lastly, Chang and Wong Kee Soon secured the bronze medal for the TPB 9 Men Doubles event.

Para athletes from Sarawak fully represented the national team for this championship game. – DayakDaily
