KUCHING, Aug 6: The fly the ‘Jalur Gemilang’ campaign is an opportunity for Malaysians to reflect upon and remember the original spirit of the formation of Malaysia, says Bandar Kuching MP Dr Kelvin Yii.

Speaking at the launching of the state-level one-month-long campaign here today, Dr Yii said he understands there there is dissatisfaction from certain quarters on what was originally agreed upon from the beginning and whether is has been upheld.

“However, I urge everyone to remember the original intention and our forefathers’ intention and vision, to have a certain level of shared prosperity and security,” he said.

“This is what we are working for now, towards a better Malaysia. It is a good opportunity for us to strive hard because at the end of the day, it can be a place we proudly call our home, raise our children and prosper together,” he added.
