KUCHING, Nov 28: The Federal government has allocated RM50,000 to the Malaysian Armed Forces Veterans Association (PVATM) Sarawak.

According to a report from the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) today, Senior Works Minister Dato Sri Fadillah Yusof said PVATM plays a vital role in recognising and remembering the contributions of the Malaysia Armed Forces veterans during their service.

“RM50,000 may be a large amount, but when compared to their contributions, it is small,” he said when attending the PVATM Sarawak 63th Annual Delegates Conference, held at a local hotel yesterday.

During the programme, Fadillah and PVATM president Captain Datuk Sharuddin Omar also presented the Pingat Setia Sentiasa Berjuang (PSSB) to five recipients. — DayakDaily
