Malaysia Aviation Group’s new CEO pays courtesy call on Abang Johari

KUCHING, April 11: Chief executive officer of Airlines, Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) Ahmad Luqman Mohd Azmi paid a courtesy call on Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg today to discuss ways to further enhance cooperation in Sarawak.

MAG is the parent company of national carrier Malaysia Airlines Bhd, FireFly Sdn Bhd and MASwings Sdn Bhd.

In a news report by Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), Ahmad Luqman said the courtesy visit was to introduce himself following his appointment as the MAG Airlines Business CEO.

“I brought along our new team which is responsible for MASwings and Firefly to introduce ourselves to the Sarawak Premier.

“There was also a briefing and discussion on future plans, especially for Sarawak,” he told reporters when met at Wisma Bapa Malaysia today.

MASwings chief operation officer (COO) Suresh Singam, FireFly COO Captain Hamdan Che Ismail and government senior general manager Nita Malek were among those present. — DayakDaily
