KUCHING, Sept 2: Malaysia Airlines Group (MAG) has announced the completion of its flight cancellation schedule across all its airlines including Malaysia Airlines (MAS), Firefly and AMAL–Hajj and Umrah flights.
This follows MAG’s announcement on Aug 24 on the reduction of number of flights until December.
“Following MAG’s network reduction announcement on 24 August 2024, we wish to inform that all necessary flight cancellations from August to December have been completed.
“If you have not received any cancellation notice, your flights remain unaffected and will continue to operate as scheduled,” the Group said in a social media post yesterday (Sept 1).
MAG also expressed its full commitment to ensuring its passengers’ travel plans proceed smoothly and without disruption.
“For the latest flight information, we encourage you to check the Flight Status section on our website. Please visit the My Booking section if you require support or to make changes to your flight booking.
“We can’t wait to welcome you onboard with the warmest of Malaysian Hospitality,” it added.
Earlier reports indicated that the flight cuts were resulted from recent spate of disruptions such as engine failures, emergency landings, flight diversions, aircraft maintenance, supply chain disruptions, and technical problems with aircraft manufacturers. — DayakDaily
