KUCHING, June 24: The main access road to Taman Univista Lorong 1 in Kota Samarahan will be temporarily closed for two months from June 6 to Aug 10, 2025, to facilitate drainage system upgrading works under the Sarawak River Integrated Basin Development Project (PLSB) Package 1.
According to a notice from the Department of Irrigation and Drainage Sarawak (DID Sarawak), the closure is part of efforts to enhance the drainage system at SK Muara Tuang, Samarahan, as well as along the Kuching-Samarahan Expressway and the deepening and widening of Sungai Tabuan in Kuching.
Motorists are advised to exercise caution and adhere to traffic management instructions throughout the construction period to ensure safety.
DID Sarawak will issue updates should there be any changes to the project schedule, locations, or traffic arrangements.
Road users are encouraged to plan their journeys accordingly to avoid affected areas.
