Upgrades included roof repairs, improved electrical systems for safety, covered parking, new furniture, guest toilets and a community PA system.

Nanta, who is also the Kapit MP, stated that the project is not just a development achievement but a success for the extended family of the community.

“The completion of the Madani Foster Village Project benefits the residents directly and strengthens the bonds of family and heritage here at Rumah Kiong,” he said in a Facebook post.

He added that the project’s improvements reflect the commitment of the Madani and Sarawak government to bridging the gap in basic amenities between urban and rural areas through a “Whole of Government” and “Whole of Nation” approach. — DayakDaily
