Lundu improves to orange, 10 red zones remaining

KUCHING, Feb 15: With Lundu turning orange today, Sarawak is left with 10 Covid-19 red zones.

State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) chairman Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas said Lundu’s status is back to orange from red after recording 31 local cases in the past two weeks.


Julau, Subis, Beluru, Kapit, Song, Dalat, Bintulu, Kanowit, Miri and Sibu remain red with a total of 2,003 local cases in the last fortnight.

Other than Lundu, the two orange zones in the state are Samarahan and Sri Aman which registered 70 local cases.

One step down, there are now 15 yellow zones in the state with a total tally of 132 local cases in the past 14 days.

They are Bau, Matu, Selangau, Kuching, Betong, Saratok, Sarikei, Sebauh, Lawas, Bukit Mabong, Tatau, Pakan, Serian, Belaga and Meradong.

The other 12 Covid-19 green zones namely Daro, Simunjan, Lubok Antu, Telang Usan, Asajaya, Limbang, Tanjung Manis, Tebedu, Mukah, Pusa, Kabong and Marudi have secured their safe statuses today with zero new local cases. —DayakDaily
