KUCHING, Nov 3: Lubok Antu voters will choose Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) after realising that only the coalition can bring development, says GPS candidate for Lubok Antu, Roy Angau Gingkoi.

He said the people of Lubok Antu have realised that most of the federal constituency’s development was brought in by the GPS government.

“The people already know how to evaluate what these incumbents (Lubok Antu incumbent Jugah Muyang and Engkilili assemblyman Johnical Rayong Ngipa who is also the Parti Sarawak Bersatu candidate for Lubok Antu) have given them during their time as MP and assemblyman.

“Even now the people want a change especially for the Engkilili area which is now far behind in terms of infrastructure development and it has been ongoing since 2016 if I am not mistaken.

“Since there is no infrastructure given, I believe Engkilili folk have realised that only the GPS government can bring in development in P203 Lubok Antu, especially in Engkilili,” he told the press after GPS chairman Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg named the coalition’s 15th General Election (GE15) candidates at Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) headquarters here today.

However, Roy also said that he cannot take his opponents lightly as GPS must continue to work hard to win the Lubok Antu seat. — DayakDaily
