KUCHING, Nov 3: Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) will be announcing its manifesto for the 15th General Election (GE15) coming Sunday (Nov 6).

This was revealed by GPS chairman Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg today after he announced the full GPS candidate list at Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) headquarters here today.

“GPS has its own direction for Sarawak towards 2030. We will be announcing our manifesto on Nov 6.

“We are very firm on our manifesto although some people might say a manifesto is not a bible,” said Abang Johari.

Abang Johari, the Premier of Sarawak, said GPS will continue to defend Sarawak rights especially those issues under the 1963 Malaysia Agreement (Ma63) that have yet to be settled with the federal government.

Meanwhile, Abang Johari thanked caretaker law minister Dato Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar for his contributions in getting Sarawak and Sabah recognised as regions among the Federation of Malaysia in the Federal Constitution.

“That is the success of our GPS ministers. I thank our MPs who have served the government and especially those who have given way to younger candidates in coming election.

“Our theme will always be ‘Sarawak First’,” he added. — DayakDaily
