KUCHING, May 20: The National Population and Family Development Board (LPPKN) Sarawak is continuing with its efforts to encourage women to undergo early detection tests for reproductive cancer, namely cervical cancer and breast cancer through the Women’s Reproductive Cancer Awareness Campaign or WCaRe.

According to LPPKN Sarawak director Shahriah Saharom, the campaign is an initiative undertaken by the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development (KPWKM) through LPPKN with a target of 85,000 women nationwide to benefit from it for 2022.

“In conjunction with Mother’s Day themed ‘KASIH Ibu Selamanya’, we are targeting a total of 10,500 Sarawak women to seize the opportunity to get screening vouchers for these two cancers at all the nearest Nur Sejahtera Clinics,” she said.
