MIRI, Mar 3: A woman in her 20s had a scare when she wanted to relieve herself at about 7.15pm in her house at Piasau Garden here yesterday.
Upon opening the bathroom door, she was horrified to see that the squat toilet inside was already occupied — by an 18-inch-long monitor lizard!
She immediately alerted her 36-year-old brother and both of them tried to get rid of the reptile but to no avail.
Fearing for their family’s safety, they then decided to call Miri Civil Defence Force (APM).
Three APM personnel promptly arrived at 7.36pm and took about 15 minutes to catch the reptile. — DayakDaily
