KUCHING, Aug 21: Long distance married couples or parents who have received full dose vaccination are allowed to enter Sarawak to reunite with their spouses and children respectively.

Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said upon entry however, the applicants are still required to undergo 14 days quarantine.

“Upon entry, applicants entering Sarawak for a period of less than three days and two nights (3D2N) are allowed to be under home quarantine with the whole household, with conditions there are no vulnerable or immunocompromised individuals.

“For applicants who wish to prolong their stay more than three days in Sarawak, they are to be quarantined upon entry at the quarantine centre.

“The children of married couples are also allowed to make the cross-state movement as long as they are under 18 years old,” it said in the EnterSarawak Guidelines document updated on Aug 20.

Among the documents of submission required for the applicants are a negative Covid-19 rt-PCR test result, digital certificate of complete vaccination for applicants and spouses, return tickets for 3D2N and flight itinerary, a copy of identity card, marriage certificate, police permit and home address for risk assessment.

For applicants exiting Sarawak, they will be given home quarantine for 14 days upon their return.
