KUCHING, May 27: Charmaine Yong Yuen Yii leads the band’s excellent performance of 18 straight 9A students in SPM 2023 for Lodge National Secondary School with straight 9A+.
When asked about the secret to her perfect result, Charmaine stresses that it is of great importance to pay attention in class and to practice more on past year’s papers and exercises in reference books.
Being a senior prefect and the president of the Debate Club and Interact Club for the school, Charmaine made sure thorough planning was done at the beginning of the year so that club activities would not clash with her intensive preparation for the examination.
Time management has given her the ability to juggle and balance her duties and studies well.
Currently, Charmaine is doing her A-levels at Lodge International School, studying Further Mathematics, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics.
Lodge National Secondary School’s 2023 cohort has done an excellent job with one straight A+, 18 straight 9A, and 13 straight 8A.
The school has also maintained its outstanding record in which this year it obtained 2.77 for its overall School Average Grade.
According to the Director of Lodge Group of Schools, Su Hiong Ai, Lodge has always prioritised the importance of excellence in academic achievements and co-curricular activities.
