KUCHING, Jan 12: Covid-19 virus has breached Sarawak’s stronghold in rural areas, causing an outbreak of cases in longhouses.
As of Jan 11, 2021, a total of 47 longhouses are under lockdown.
The list of these 47 longhouses are as below, with Sibu having the highest of 21 longhouses under lockdown, to be followed by 10 in Dalat.
According to Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) chairman Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas in a press conference yesterday, the affected Dalat longhouse folks caught the virus from those travelling to Sibu to attend a funeral at Pasai Siong. — DayakDaily
