Limbang man lost for 24 hours claimed he followed ‘beautiful woman’ into forest

KUCHING, Dec 8: A 70-year-old man, who was found safe after he was reported missing for over 24 hours at his durian orchard in Kampung Merasam Darat, Limbang, on Saturday (Dec 6), claimed he had followed the trail of a ‘beautiful woman’ beforehand.

According to a TVS news report, Limbang District Police Chief Superintendent Parum Niot said the victim, Renggi Minggat, was found in a weakened condition at 3.30pm on Sunday (Dec 7).

According to him, the victim claimed he was accompanied by a ‘beautiful woman’ while cutting down a durian tree and had followed her deep into the forest.

“Based on the victim’s statement, he followed the woman and ended up lost in the forest before being found in a weakened state, though still able to walk,” he told the media on Sunday.

Parum said the victim was found by villagers at a hut by the roadside after he managed to come out onto the main road not far from where he was reported missing.

He said the man was taken to Limbang Hospital for a health check. — DayakDaily
