KUCHING, Dec 16: Step into the enchanting festive ambiance of Christmas Dreamville, a magical village located in Saradise here, open from today until Dec 31.
Operating daily from 5pm to 11pm, this festive community initiative hosts a vibrant bazaar featuring a diverse array of cuisines, ranging from Korean and Japanese to Thai, Australian, European, and local delights.
In addition to the delectable food offerings, Christmas Dreamville offers craft workshops, family-friendly activities, and captivating talent performances, all while encouraging acts of kindness during this Christmas season.
One of the highlights is the mesmerising lighting decorations adorning the area which provide the perfect backdrop for public photo opportunities to be shared on their social media.
Furthermore, special events, such as gift exchanges and a European-Cottage-themed best-dressed competition, are scheduled for Dec 24 and 25.
Kuching South City Council (MBKS) Mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng was present to perform the lighting-up of the ‘Wishing Pyramid’ at the venue last night (Dec 15).
Joining him were Saradise Sdn Bhd group chief executive officer (CEO) Dato Chris Chung and wife Datin Janice Wan, and chief operating officer (COO) Dylan Yee.
“In the season of giving, Christmas Dreamville inspires us to act generously. The ‘Wishing Pyramid’, sponsored by Saradise’s business operator, Starwise, not only encourages heartfelt wishes but also promotes the joy of giving, with contributions going towards charitable deeds.
“The involvement of The Salvation Army and Sarawak Society for the Deaf amplifies the power of collective goodwill, making a positive impact in our community,” Wee said.
He expressed gratitude to Saradise, Tutufun Studio and Roots N Pots, as well as the diamond sponsor Starwise, for their commitment to bring the Christmas Dreamville to life.
“This collaborative effort by local talented event organisers, Kimberly Tiong and Claire Tiong of Tutufun Studio, and Amelia Voon of Roots n Pots, in partnership with Saradise promises to be more than just a celebration.
“It serves as a meaningful platform to showcase local talents, nurture brands, and foster a profound sense of community through the joyous spirit of giving,” he added. — DayakDaily
