In the letter accompanying the appendix, Abang Noraffian sought approval to use local authority premises, district offices and other government facilities as exhibition centres for the public display of the proposed constituency draft reports and gazette maps.

“The purpose of placing these draft display boards and gazette maps is for the physical display of proposed constituency draft reports and gazette maps for Sarawak’s Seventh Redelineation Exercise during the timeframe that will be set by the Election Commission later,” he wrote.

Among the proposed exhibition venues are Kuching North City Commission (DBKU), Kuching South City Council (MBKS), Padawan Municipal Council (MPP), Sibu Municipal Council (MPS), Miri City Council (MBM), as well as district offices throughout Sarawak.

The document does not state the proposed voter numbers or final boundaries for each constituency, which are expected to be made available during the EC’s official public display period. — DayakDaily
